The Cool New Way to Reduce Fat: CoolSculpting® and DualSculpting

Posted by Dr. Perry in Coolsculpting

CoolSculpting fat reductionThere are numerous reasons why you may have difficulty eliminating pockets of fat from your stomach, hips, thighs, and other common “trouble” areas. Even if you’re a dedicated fitness enthusiast and maintain a healthy diet, stubborn fatty tissue can refuse to budge. Fortunately, Dr. Charles Perry, our experienced plastic surgeon, offers two effective methods to address these areas of concern: liposuction and new, non-surgical CoolSculpting® and DualSculpting.

A non-invasive method of fat reduction, CoolSculpting® is designed to break down fat in a targeted area using cold energy, typically resulting in an enhanced body contour over time. DualSculpting, also available at our practice, can treat twice as many areas in the same amount of time as CoolSculpting in the event you have more than one region you would like to address. During your initial consultation, Dr. Perry and his skilled medical team will determine if you may be a candidate for this treatment.

The CoolSculpting® and DualSculpting process typically takes approximately one hour to complete, depending on the individual and the number of areas of concern. Sensations of cold, numbness, tingling, and pinching in the treated region are normal, and some mild bruising and redness may occur; however, you should be able to return to most normal activities following the procedure. In some cases, one session may be sufficient to achieve your aesthetic goals. Should you desire more comprehensive fat reduction, additional CoolSculpting® treatments can be performed.

We will do everything we can to ensure your comfort during the CoolSculpting® process, and most patient report little discomfort. If you have additional questions about CoolSculpting® and DualSculpting, or if you would like to schedule a consultation, please contact us today.
