Field LadyIf you’re considering plastic surgery for more than one area, such as the breasts and stomach or the face, eyes, and forehead, you may wonder if it’s possible to complete all the procedures at once. Dr. Charles Perry, our experienced plastic surgeon, can determine if you qualify for a combined approach that may optimize your results and streamline your surgical and recovery experience.

Do you have a busy schedule, limited time off, and/or a desire to return to normal activities as quickly as possible? Performing multiple cosmetic procedures during the same operation can often reduce recovery and speed healing as compared with undergoing a series of surgeries spaced out over time. Additionally, certain rejuvenation procedures can affect more areas than the one being treated, as with many facial enhancement treatments, including eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) and brow lift surgery. In this instance, you may wish to address all the areas at once to optimize the results. Dr. Perry can help you decide if your aesthetic goals will be best achieved by utilizing multiple modalities and whether they can be performed in a single surgery.

The number of potential procedures that can be performed together depends on the amount of time necessary to complete them. Dr. Perry prefers to keep surgeries under six hours, and this generally allows time to rejuvenate one complete area of the body, such as the face, torso, or extremities. Therefore, he may not recommend undergoing rhinoplastytummy tuck, and an arm lift in a single session. However, combining a thigh lift and tummy tuck may be possible. He will be happy to discuss your cosmetic goals during your initial consultation.
