A recent study in the Aesthetic Surgery Journal (Vol. 28, Issue 4 July/August 2008) revealed that liposuction using Vaser techniques resulted in less blood loss than traditional liposuction. This is exciting news when one considers that the Vaser Liposuction utilizing ultrasound allows the surgeon to remove up to three times more from the back, hips, and flank region according to the study. Vaser Liposuction uses sound energy to create selective fat emulsification. The ultrasound waves are tuned specifically for the fat cell membranes. During the procedure the fat cell’s (adipocyte) membrane starts vibrating at the ultrasound specific frequency and membrane dissolves allowing the fat to be removed as a liquid through gentle suction. As opposed to standard liposuction were the whole cell is removed with a larger cannula and more vigorous movement. We are excited to offer this exciting new technology.
Liposuction remains the most common cosmetic surgical procedure in the United States including Roseville, Folsom, El Dorado Hills, Elk Grove and Sacramento regions. Over 400,000 liposuction procedures were performed last year alone. Ultrasound as used by Dr Charles Perry with the Sound Surgical’s Vaser Liposelection device has allowed patient’s to recover in a more comfortable way. At Chrysalis Cosmetics we offer the Vaser technology as an option for patient’s whom desire the most advanced technology available. We look forward to meeting you and answering your questions in person. Give us a call at 916.273.7435

Liposuction is the most commonly requested cosmetic plastic surgical procedure across the United States according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. It allows the plastic surgeon to shape the body and remove unwanted fat deposits. It can be while awake or asleep for your comfort and individual needs. With all the new minimally invasive procedures available; Velashape, Velasmooth, Refirm, Thermage, SmartLipo, Cooltouch laser lipo, to name a few, it becomes hard to decide what would work the best for you. If you have a lot of money and time and are only looking for small changes the above laser and or radiofrequency technologies alone or in combination may work for you. It takes a normal person three to six sessions (usually around a $1000 a session) to notice the best results and results vary. It is sometimes very exciting to see the skin contraction following standard liposuction combined with laser skin enhancement.
However what works more reliably and consistently at Chrysalis Cosmetics in Sacramento California is liposuction. Pictured below from Roseville California before and after Tumescent Liposuction.

The fat cells are permanently removed. The change is instant and can often be dramatic. We have added Vaser technology along with the Tumescent Liposuction to help better shape the skin and fragment the fat cells specifically. Using powerful ultrasound waves of energy the procedure can be done in as little as an hour. The added advantage of utilizing both traditional Tumescent Liposuction in combination with Vaser technology may even allow for better skin contraction in certain individuals. It is truly an exciting time to be considering body contouring. There are many options for body contouring and they may all have their place. Ask your plastic surgeon today what would work best for you. Patient pictured below from Roseville Califonria before and six weeks after tumescent vaser liposuction

A recent survey of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons reveals that men and women alike are choosing to enhance their lives with cosmetic surgery. Now more than ever men are choosing to look their very best in the work place at play in the home and with friends and family. This allows men to stay in the work place longer and compete with their more youthful counter parts in the office and socially. Perhaps someone you know has had a little enhancement? Common procedures for men are reduction of excess fat around the abdomen and chest though liposuction, freshening the eyes and rejuvenating the face and nose through eyelifts, facelifts and liposuction as well as rhinoplasty. Minimally invasive techniques have allowed plastic surgeons across the country and in Sacramento California to achieve a more youthful masculine look for men with less downtime than ever before.
Men in particular often want to improve their look though less invasive endoscopic browlifts and facelift techniques with quicker recovery times. They often do not want to change their appearance just improve it a little. More often men want to just want to look like themselves younger more vibrant masculine and slightly thinner. This most commonly entails reduction of the extra waist line that happens over time from stress, long hours at work, and not enough time to get to the gym though minimally invasive liposuction. Dr Charles Perry in Sacramento California uses both Tumescent and Ultrasound micro liposuction to achieve the look you desire. For others going to the gym may not remove the areas that are the most troublesome and more effectively reduced by visiting a plastic surgeon. Once the results at the gym start to stall or plateau often a plastic surgeon may be able to help. It may also involve the reduction of the extra tissue on the chest around the nipples that occurs for the same reasons. Other people desire removal of the extra skin around the eyes and softening the brows to avoid the tired or stressed out look. Refreshing the eyes through blepharoplasty can make marked improvement in how other view us. Other common areas of improvement are tightening the neck and jowls through subtle changes with the neck lift facelift or brow lifts.
More and more men each year are realizing that looking good has its benefits and is more acceptable than ever before. We look forward to hearing from you.
